Dear Friends of Rolling Fields.
Across the nation, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect people of all ages. As we continue the battle against this unprecedented illness, we want to thank you for being understanding of the many changes you have experienced here at Rolling Fields in the past several months. I know that the process has not always been easy, and that life during this pandemic is not without its own unique challenges.
The health and safety of both our Elders and care partners is of the utmost importance, and we are taking action to reduce the risk of exposure for all. The steps we have implemented are directly tied to the recommendations and guidelines of the CDC, and state, local, and federal regulations, and we will adjust these steps if those recommendations change. Our COVID-19 team, comprised of experts in all aspects of senior living, have worked diligently with our employees and vendors to ensure the safety of our Elders and care partners, through the implementation of guidelines in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. We have worked with our Heritage communities nationwide on their best practices and experiences to develop comprehensive plans to protect both our Elders and staff.
As the number of positive cases have increased in our region, Rolling Fields has also experienced a direct impact. In the last week, multiple Elders and staff at Rolling Fields have tested positive for COVID-19. At this time, the Elders are in quarantine, and their families have been notified. The COVID-19 positive Elders are cared for in a dedicated COVID-19 unit by dedicated staff who have no interaction with any other Rolling Fields Elders or care partners.
We understand that many of you have expressed concern regarding visitation and seeing your loved one. Our teams continue to provide for both the physical and emotional care of those we serve during these difficult times, through various resident engagement activities, to help all residents stay active and engaged. Phone calls, video chats, and window visits continue to be arranged through the social work and activities departments.
We know you may be very concerned and have questions. We want to first assure you that all of our Elders are safe, loved, and being well cared for. We continue to screen all Elders and care partners daily, with care partners being tested twice weekly, as mandated by the state of Pennsylvania. All potentially impacted areas have been thoroughly cleaned, and enhanced PPE is being used as needed in our communities. We have set up a dedicated email and phone number for any concerns, so if you think of any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 1-833-623-0162.
We thank you for your unwavering patience and understanding. We continue to seek God’s wisdom and pray for His supernatural protection for those whom He has entrusted to our care, as we seek to keep each Elder safe, and to promote Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living in these difficult times.
