Culinary Services...

Dining Choices...  We offer our Elders table-side service with meal choices in our restaurant "Eden Park."   Elders  choose their dining times on a daily basis.  Our restaurant is open for continental breakfast from 6:00-7:30am.  Hot breakfast is served between 7:30-9:30am.  Lunch is our largest meal of the day.  Our dining room serves lunch between 11:30am-1:30pm.  Dinner begins at 5:00pm and is open through 6:30pm.  Elders are not assigned to seating and are free to enjoy their meals with friends and family at a table of their choosing.  Elders may choose to eat in our dining room, on our outdoor patio or in their rooms.

Family members and friends who wish to dine with Elders may do so by purchasing a meal ticket for $4.50 in our main office or  with Culinary Services staff after office hours.  Soup is also available for $1.00.

We believe that the quality of our dining program reflects our Elder-centered philosophy.  We have spent the last year working to implement our 24-hour, Made-To-Order, room service dining program.  We call it "Jump Off The Cliff" (or JOTC.)  This program has been piloted on Ash & Birch Streets for the past several months as we work through the process of changing life for our Elders.  With the addition of this program our caregivers have made many changes to their schedules and jobs as we transform life in our home forever.  Elders are now enjoying the choice to eat, sleep and live their lives on their preferred schedules.  Caregivers no longer work three set shifts they become flexible and schedule themselves around the needs of our Elders.  Our culinary team no longer sends trays to the Elders at the same time for everyone every day.  Elders sleep in or get up of their own accord.  When ready, they order room service from a menu filled with choices and all their favorites.  This serves true for all meals.  In January of this year, Executive Chef Charles Gilbert joined our family.  He is working on some exciting new menus and plans to renovate the kitchen and dining room are in the works as he helps us bring "JOTC"  to life for everyone in our home.
